Ularis Fah
“There is a whole world out there. A world full of stories, of wonder, of opposing truths. Had you asked me when I was a child what I thought about tales of primordial beings, I would have told you that they abandoned us just as our Father taught us. But now… Now I think that they’re wrong. Why would my own teachers wish to silence me if they knew that truth would end my search where it began?”
Lost sister of Sif (Lord) Surah Fah of Thillister-Kaldor, Ularis is believed to be dead by most of the Olovoan Empire. A few people from her past do know her whereabouts in the Camarian Conglomerate but leave her be in fear of causing damage to the family name and reputation - better to believe her dead than absent of faith in a far off land. Growing up, she never believed the narratives taught by the Sel Surnars (High Priests) of the Olovoan about the history of the Divines, their power and the world around them. Desperate to learn more, to find truths behind the forced lies, she found a smuggler willing to get her books from far off lands. She devoured the pages and began to question everything she’d ever been taught, how could she ever really know what was right when everyone contradicted each other? One night, she was found reading blasphemous texts and forced to give up the name of her illegal supplier, only allowed to keep living by the grace of her name, so she ran, determined to not be kept from knowledge. Alone and needing hiding, she sought out the only place that made sense, the Camarian Conglomerate, where her frequent time at the library and absconded wealth gave her a new life.
