God of Sins and Virtues - Flux

“The three gazed upon the God with awe and horror, their form shifting aggressively between depictions of their sins. Their voice shifted with it, strained as if in pain yet a hint of amusement cracked through, “So… Many… Sins…” it said, before its unstable form blinked from sight, leaving nothing but the maddened and horrified three who witnessed it.”

The God of Sins and Virtues, or Flux as they’ve come to be known, has no choice over its form nor its personality at any given moment. Unable to balance the sins and virtues that exist separately within them, many pity them for their position. Extreme instances of virtue or sin shift Flux’s form randomly to either match or counter that which they are in the presence of (see table below), but they have no control over this shift nor say in its outcome, no matter how much they wish they did. Constantly tormented by their actions, they spend most of their time as the God of Virtue trying to fix the wrongs that they committed as the God of Sin, and vice versa. It is a chaotic and little-understood fate, that many have tried to learn more about over the years to no avail.

Child of Primordial Chaos, Flux was created to hold all the sins and virtues of every living being on Sesmi. Yet as life grew, so did the weight he bore. It eventually became too much, and he could no longer keep balance between all states, making him fall to the very sins and virtues he then held. He blamed the Primordial Chaos for his fall, his envy of their control and wrath towards their lack of help, made him decide to help Artar and Adita with in their attack on the Primordials in what became later known as the Great Dividing.

Patron of the Camarian Conglomerate and creator of the Champion of Sins, Flux is held in high regard and worshiped by most who live in the ex-pirate nation. Having made a deal with the first Princes of Camaria in a state of Sin, in their Virtuous form they often try to fix or balance that which they deem to have done wrong there. Not long after this contract was bound, one of the crew members within the new nation saw the damage that sin was causing and so approached Flux in hopes to strike a deal of their own to save their people from sure destruction. It was in a state of flux between Virtue and Sin that the new deal was made, with the intervention of the Primordial Chaos, thus giving the now called Champion of Sins control over that which the Divine could not control, and the power to maintain balance in the Scarrus Peaks. But the Primordial Chaos’ interventuon left Flux once again angry with his father, seeing this as yet another insult to his ability. As such, in their Sinful state Flux envies the Champion for their control, and thus brings wrathful attacks against all they do. Yet in their Virtuous state, they see the Champion as their greatest ally and help them stop sin within their nation. Both the crushing rock and the stable pillar, Flux once again proves their chaotic and uncontrollable inclinations.
